She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Schaffer and Leona Schaffer (Stone); her husband Sanford Olson; her brother Ronald Schaffer (Dorothea); her siblings-in-law, Ray Mugan, Thelmer Olson, Orville Olson, Chuck Lee, Sybil Olson, Sylvia Taylor (Verle) and Ruth Hareid (Lloyd); her son-in-law Timothy Manchester; and her grandson Chad Schaffer.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Schaffer (Charlene), Mickey Olson and Sherry Manchester; her daughter-in-law Vicki Caswell; her sisters, Beverly Mugan and Sharren Olinger (Bill); and her sister-in-law Beatrice "Tootie" Lee. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and eventually great grandchildren and great great granddaughter.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Shirley's family will hold a funeral service at a future date.
