She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Nissen and Aletta Nissen (Nelson); her stepson Dennis McIlhatton; and her brothers, Donald Nissen and Marlin Nissen (Phyllis).

She is survived by: her husband Loren McIlhatton; her nephew Donald Nissen (Janice); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Bobbi Jean and Robert Nissen (Sarah).
