With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rodney Neil Hedegard (Mason City, Iowa), who passed away on January 14, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Rodney Neil may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hedegard and Lucille Hedegard (Christianson); his son Michael Hedegard; and his siblings, Roger Hedegard and Norma Paulsen.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn "Mona" Richsmann; and his daughters, Michelle Shackleton (Ed), Teresa Compton and Holly Hedegard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel (126 3rd St NE, Mason City, IA 50401). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
