He is survived by: his wife Becky Sehlstrom of Mason City; his children, Rebeca Smith of Oregon, Andrew Sehlstrom, DJ Murl (Amy Kranz) of Mason City, Tonia Murl of Mason City, Kyndra Wadenah-Sehlstrom (Mason) of Decorah, IA, Tristan Wadenah-Sehlstrom of Champion, OH and Beth Gerleman (Tyler) of Mason City; and his siblings, Donald Sehlstrom of Minnesota, Wendy Martin (Gerald) of Minnesota, Wayne Sehlstrom of Mason City, Leland Sehlstrom (Teresa) of Minnesota, Larry Sehlstrom (Denise Gunderson) of Minnesota and Randy Sehlstrom (Barb) of Arizona. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren.
