He is survived by: his wife Tammy Shannon; his children, Jamie of Mason City, Shay (Andrea) of Britt and Dillon Carpenter (Kati) of North Liberty; his grandchildren, Nevaeh, Mykenna Poulin, Andersyn Skellenger, Colton Noland, Kinnick Valentine, Ruby, Kai and Banks Carpenter; his siblings, Ron Carpenter (Lora), Wendy Patton (John), Sandy Fox (Gary), Jerry Carpenter, Bob Carpenter (Julie), Connie Greenan and Kay Hathaway (Dan); his cousin Donna Emhoff (Jim); and his sisters-in-law, Reenie Skellenger and Michele Shannon.
