He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hinecker; his daughters, Christine Douglas of Nora Springs, IA and Melissa Schleppenbach (Ryon) of Hastings, MN; his grandchildren, Chylee Douglas, Madison and Isabel Schleppenbach; his pet Ali; his sisters, Cathy Nava (Victor) and Deborah Hickman (Jerry); and his uncle Randy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
