It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Patricia M. Bjerke (Mason City, Iowa), who passed away on December 26, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Glen and Ilda Switzer (Oleson) of McIntire; her former husband Robert Murphy; her husband William Bjerke; her siblings, Dale, Vernon, Glen Switzer, Myrna McDonough and Beverly Bashaw; and her grandson Matthew Murphy.
She is survived by: her sons, Steven, Steve Murphy (Tracy) and Jim Murphy (Diane); and her grandchildren, Jason Murphy, Chad Murphy (Renae), Megan Slocum (Gary), Alexandria Hardy (Daylon), Daniel, Vanessa, Will, Adam, Acacia, Stephanie and Eric. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Ave. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks will be required.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to KCMR Radio, Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank or Trinity Lutheran Church.
