He is survived by: his wife Kay Tarrent-Nelson of Sioux Falls, SD; his children, Thomas Nettifee of Long Beach, CA and Carolyn Kirby (Glenn); his sibling Jerry Nettifee (Karen) of Hartford, SD; and his son-in-law Russell Racette of Sioux Falls, SD.
