He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Rippentrop and Dorothy Rippentrop (Lester); his brother Waynard; his sister-in-law Elenora Rippentrop; his daughter-in-law Kaye Rippentrop; his wife Marge Nelson; and his brother-in-law Bob Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie Rollefson (Al) of Coon Rapids, IA and Patrick Rippentrop (Michele) of Cedar Falls; his grandson Kevin Rippentrop (Abbey Kuntz); his stepchildren, Brad Nelson (Julie) of Mason City and Suzanne Nelson of Edina, MN; his stepgrandchildren, Taylor Nelson (Jimmie Butler), Chase Nelson, Anthony Harvey, Alexis Collins (Evan), Marcus Harvey, Melissa Timm (Corey) and Michael Schleusner; his sister Caralee Wright of Mason City; and his close friend Nada Davison of Nora Springs. He is also survived by 9 step great grandchildren.
