He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron Ackley and Ilene Ackley (Lines); his son Larry Ackley; his brother Abe Ackley; and his pets, Buzz and Snowy.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Muller; his granddaughter Krysta; his children, Mark Ackley (Nancy), Kim Hofler (Tim), Steve Ackley (Jennifer) and Shelly Pell; his grandchildren, Andrew Young, Savanna Young, Timothy Hofler (Caci), Mark Jr. Ackley, Jordan Ackley, Jacob Ackley, Darren Ackley, Tawanee Ackley and Phillip Ackley; and his sister Jeanie Paulus.
Memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of North Iowa in honor of Neil's love for animals.
