It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maxine A. Rose of Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on November 26, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Rohde and Henrietta Rohde (Kannenberg); her husband Bernard Rose (Barney); her siblings, Lynn Rohde and Marvyl Ransom; and her siblings-in-law, Genevieve Vogel, Dorothy Calicchia, Luella, Bouck, Raymond Groth, Fred Rose, Orlando Calicchia, George Vogel, Sarge and Buddy.
She is survived by: her children, Fred Rose (Joette Gerdes) of Mason City, Jim Rose of Mason City, Kathy Musson of Park City, Utah and Mary Rose of Mason City; her grandchildren, Amanda O'Banion (Ben) of Nora Springs, David Rose of Brooklyn and Dan Rose (Raychel) of Iowa City; her sister Jean Groth of Mason City; her brother-in-law Ross Ransom of Mason City; her great grandchildren, Alex Rose of Mason City, Samantha Rose of Mason City and Dmitris Mwakaluma of Mason City; her great great grandchild Nova Rose of Mason City; and her pets, Tippie, Rosie Faye, Frida and Otto. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be followed at the funeral service.
