It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jo Fisher of Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on September 1, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold S. Palmer and Ruth I. Palmer (Fullerton). She is survived by: her children, William Fisher (Ann) of Clear Lake, Kathy Alscher (Phil) of Valdosta, Georgia and Robert Fisher of Mason City; her grandchildren, Ross Fisher (Araina), Brian Fisher, David Alscher (Jacqueline) and Sara Alscher (Ryan Whitemore); and her great grandchildren, Corinne Fisher and Madeline Fisher.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Major Erickson Funeral Home (111 N Pennsylvania Ave, Mason City, IA 50401). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ (100 1st St NE, Mason City, IA 50401). A burial was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery (1224 S Washington Ave, Mason City, IA 50401).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Mason City Municipal Band.
