She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Clay and Della Clay; her husband Harlan Saug; and her siblings, Kathryn Andon, Charlotte Sinnott and Max Clay.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Hitzhusen (Larry) of Springfield and Lawrence Saug (Beverly) of Denver; her sister-in-law Beverly Clay of Loveland; her grandchildren, Neal, Timothy, Jodi and Jennifer; her stepgrandchildren, Sharon, Greg, Brynn and Gordon; and her great grandchildren, Wil, Olivia, Luke, Lauren, Jasmine, Maya, Alexander, David and Charlotte.
Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Women, 119 South Georgia or the Lime Creek Nature Center, 3501 Lime Creek Rd. Mary was born May 8, 1918, the oldest of four children, to Lloyd A. and Della B. (Witter) Clay in Marble Rock, Iowa.
