It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Omer Mathiason of Mason City, Iowa, born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on August 29, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Omer Mathiason and Shirlee Mathiason; his wife Gaye Mathiason; his children, Mark Mathiason Jr., Amy Helms and Craig Mathiason (Karen); his siblings, Marcia Lamb and John Mathiason (Susan); and his nieces and nephews, Lesa, Todd, Laurie, Abby and Nick.
