With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Anna Thomas of Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on July 28, 2023 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sons, Dennis and Mark Thomas; her parents, Pete Lauer and Laura Lauer (Himber); her siblings, LeRoy, Frances (Maxine), Vince Lauer (Nadine), Ronald, Margaret Jeffrey (Gerald) and Marian Juhl (Bob); and her close friend Judy Macken.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Lund of Littleton, CO and Gary Thomas (Cheri) of Mason City; her grandchildren, Amy Leaman (Dan), Sarah Morgan (David), Angela Kline (Chad), Ryan Lund (Randi), Emma Finch and Stephanie Thomas-Schmidt (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Taylor (Nick), Malorie, Mckenna, Jack, Abby, Ben and Sam; her great great grandchild Oliver; and her brother Donald Lauer (Phyllis).
