She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Milbrandt and Louise Milbrandt (Johanns); her husband Leon Werner of Mel's Catholic Church; her daughters, Barbara Jean Werner and Judy Johnson; and her siblings, Ralph Milbrandt, Bernice Runde, Kathleen "Kate" Hemann and Robert Milbrandt.

She is survived by: her children, Jerry Werner (Edna) of Cantonment, FL, Diane Wilson of Rochester, MN, Debra Lair (John) of Miami Beach, FL, Nancy Borchardt (Mike) and Kevin Werner (Becky); her son-in-law Roger Johnson of Austin, MN; her grandchildren, Jill Jones (Johnson), Jason Johnson, Eric, Jennifer, Jeremy Werner, Melissa Rensch (Wilson) and Alyssa Lucker; her nephew Dana Milbrandt; and her niece Dawn Oberfoell.
