He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Madson and Dorothy Madson Haxton; his stepfather Donovan Haxton; and his parents-in-law, Gilmer and Doris Holstad.
He is survived by: his wife Carmen (Holstad); his children, Dana Hettinger (Joe) of Hawthorn Woods, IL and Chris Madson (Angie McNamara) of Mankato, MN; his grandson Nick Madson of Mankato, MN.; his brother Gene Madson (Bobbi) of Clear Lake; his sister-in-law Ardis Cox (Eli) of Austin, TX; and his nephews, Kory, Kelly, Marcus and Andrew. He is also survived by one great-nephew and two great-nieces.
