He is survived by: his father Lynn Scharlau; his sons, Brian Scharlau (JoAnn), Brent Scharlau and Brandon Scharlau; his grandchildren, Jacob Scharlau and Freya Scharlau; and his sister Kay Staley. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, brothers-in law, sisters-in-law, other extended family, and many friends.
