He was predeceased by: his parents, John Joseph "Smitty" Ringis II and Hulda Ringis (O'Green); his brother Carl (June Gibbs II); his nephews, Carl Gibbs III, Paul Holtan and Andrew Holtan; and his brother-in-law Bert Solsaa.
He is survived by: his sisters, Sandra Solsaa and Cheri Ringis; his nieces, Jean Heagel (Brad), Helen Holtan and Carla Dempsey (Terry); and his nephew Christopher Gibbs.
