It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Cookman of Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Cookman and Alice Cookman (Wolske); his wife Mary Cookman; his brother Harry Joseph; his sister-in-law Lucile Cookman; his stepdaughter Barbara Farah Ryan; his brother-in-law Robert Staley (Gary Hepperly); his grandson George Farah, Jr.; and his close friend Jean Heinz.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Tammy Schladetzky and Renee Farah; his great grandchild Zach Schladetzky (Gina) of Cedar Rapids; and his sisters, Betty Luedeman of Cedar Rapids, Mary Helen Meyers (Doug) of Mason City, Ann Staley of Mason City and Dorothy Hepperly (Dutch) of Mason City. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
