It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnne Virginia Peterson of Mason City, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on June 18, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Seger and Sidney Seger (Downey); her husband Jon Peterson; her sister Nancy Rummens; and her brother-in-law Chuck Behr.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Peterson and Julie Burns (David) of Woodbury, MN; her grandchildren, Joseph Burns Menominee and Maya; her siblings, Dick (Marvel), Mary Reckard (Chuck) of Arnolds Park, IA and Susan Behr; and her siblings-in-law, Bobby Rummens of Cascade, IA, Bob Peterson (Jeannie) and Pat (Scott). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
