He was predeceased by: his wife Winifred A. Rasmussen; his daughter Caroline Dyer; his sisters, Wilma (John Rickena) and Leona (Lee Buffington); and his siblings-in-law, Lloyd Stockberger, George Stockberger, Viola Fisk, Ellen Weiss and Betty Clarke.
He is survived by: his children, Kristine Rasmussen of Mason City, Steven Rasmussen (Bonnie) of Sunrise Beach, MO and Rhonda Nelson (Charles) of Newton, Iowa; his grandchildren, Travis McCray (Sarah) and Echo Hartgers (Jacob); his great grandchildren, Hudson, Miles McCray, Kellan, Jace Hartgers, Aiden and Cael Austin; his sister Verna Ouverson (Jack); his siblings-in-law, Frank Weiss, Vera Stockberger and Mary Lou Stockberger; and his close friend Delores Ingersoll. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
