He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Bahnsen and Vera Bahnsen; his siblings, Richard Bahnsen, Patty Kuhlmeier, Ralph Bahnsen and Jerome Bahnsen; and his grandchildren, Laurie and Christopher.
He is survived by: his former wife Marjorie Weiner; his wife Marge; and his children, Thomas Bahnsen (Tammy) of Rockford, IA, Jean Krause (Norm) of Stoddard, WI, Sandy Marsh (Rick) of Mason City, John Bahnsen (Kim) of Charles City and Chris Bahnsen (Bonnie) of Ankeny.
