She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Borchardt and Clara Borchardt (Wilde); her husband Walter E. Ward; her children, Diane Hagen and Dale Ward; her grandson Matthew Ward; her brother Reuben Borchardt; and her sister-in-law Marjorie Murren.
She is survived by: her children, David Ward (Julie Braun) of Mason City, Paul Ward (Deb) of Plymouth, Donna Jensen (Marlin) of Mason City and Julie Nuehring (Steve) of Mason City; her grandchildren, Daniel Ruyter (Jen) of Orlando, Kristin Ruyter (Shawn Carter) of Oviedo, Luke Ward (Samantha) of Waverly, Christopher Jensen of Mason City, Ashley Morrison (Johnathan) of Mason City, Abbie Upmeyer (Blake) of Altoona, Whitney Grote (Derek) of Nevada and Cortney Nuehring (Jered Penrod) of Omaha, NE.; her great grandchildren, Owen, Ethan, Lauren Ruyter, Nolan, Carson, Everleigh Upmeyer, Maya and Sylvie Grote; and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Ward of Mason City and Zola Borchardt of Mason City. She is also survived by niece and nephews.
