With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helmer N. Hjelle of Mason City, Iowa, who passed away on September 28, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Hjelle and Nettie Hjelle (Hamson); his wife Nita True; his children, Sally Anderson, Sue Johnson, Hans Hjelle, Leland Hjelle and Mickey Hjelle; his granddaughters, Amanda Hjelle and Emily Hjelle; his daughter-in-law Joy Hjelle; and his siblings, Lillian Marsh, Beverly Smidt, Bonnie King, Newell Trustin and Oscar Hjelle.

He is survived by: his children, Larry Hjelle (Margaret), Marty Hjelle (Nancy) and Robin Hjelle.
