He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Shannon and Lillian Shannon (Hood) of Mason City; his parents-in-law, Robert and LaDelle Angell; his siblings, Jack, Pat (Ardella), James (Marilyn), Dorothy Ann Shannon, Lucy Donnelly and Joseph Shannon (Rhinda); and his brothers-in-law, Paul Christensen, Bob Angell and Larry Craig.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Angell; his children, Laurie Warner (Tim Portz) of Mason City, Adam Shannon (Amy) of Columbia, TN and Teresa Shipman (Travis) of Mason City; his grandchildren, Keegan, Anna Warner, Morgan, Meric Shannon, Natalie, Rachel and Olivia Shipman; his siblings, Mary Kathleen Christensen, Elizabeth, Novak, Lillian Brown (Jim), Sheila Adams (Dan), Robert Shannon, Harry Shannon (Pam), Thomas Shannon (Kae), Dennis Shannon (Sandy) and Alice Dougherty (Phil); and his parents-in-law, Donna Kilgore (Dean), Linda Craig and Dola Shannon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.
