She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Emerson and Millicent Emerson (Ward). She is survived by: her sons, Scott Edward (Jane) of Ames, Marc Allan (Laurie) of Lakeville and Brian Ray (Tami) of Mason City. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Covenant Church, Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
