She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Nita Hjelle, Jan and Phil Seely; and her cousin Amanda Sue Hjelle. She is survived by: her parents, Leland Hjelle and Patty Hjelle (Shaffer); her friend Miguel Perez of Mason City; her sons, Antonio, Micheal and Nikolai Perez; her sisters, Jessica Hjelle of Mason City and Hannah Schriever of Mason City; her grandfather Helmer Hjelle; her close friend Jenny Melby; and also, Renee Perez and Jovita Perez. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
In honor of Emily, memorials may be directed in care of her family.
