He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Jeanette Walter (Pierce); his wife Terry Nelson; his brothers, Michael Walter, John Walter and Patrick Walter; and his pet Ringo.
He is survived by: his children, Dustin Walter of Mason City, Danielle Daniels of Belmond, IA, Ashley Neve (Brenton) of Titonka, IA and Skylar Walter Neve (Brody); his grandchildren, Kellan, Jade, Lillieann, Zane, Shay, Emilie, Jax, Triniti and Memphis; his siblings, Jack Madigan, Patricia Kozelka and Nancy Eastman; and his close friend Kitty "Bojangles".
