She was predeceased by: her parents, Melba Lyman and Verner Lyman of Racine; her husband Erling B. Nelson; and her siblings, Lester "Lemon" Lyman, Donald Lyman and Marilyn McCarty.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Pappas (Tony), Jennifer Martin (Loren), Stuart Nelson (Kathy) and Rebecca Nelson; her grandchildren, Nicole Ogrodnik (William), Olivia Osegera (Dakota), Benjamin Pappas (Jacqueline Rier), Samuel Nelson, Matthew Nelson and Jacob Nelson; her great grandchildren, William Ogrodnik (Liam), Cecilia Ogrodnik, John Paul Ogrodnik and Evelyn Osegera; and her sister Phyllis House. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be left to St. James Lutheran Church or a charity of choice.
