She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert DeBolt and Emily DeBolt (VerHelst); her husband Maynard Arends; her daughter Theresa Arends; and her siblings, Leland DeBolt and Margaret "Dolly" Lee.

She is survived by: her daughters, Emily Althof (Louis) and Nancy Rheingans (Roger); and her grandchildren, Andrew Althof (Lori), Katy Nelson (Scott), Daniel Rheingans (Maggie) and Sarah Mason (Talley). She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
