He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Funkhouser and Nellie Funkhouser (Short); and his siblings, Joyce and Joe. He is survived by: his wife Mickey; his children, Stacy Heinselman (Matt), Scott, Haley and Shelby Klinkenborg (Ryan); his grandchildren, Cael and Colin; his son David E. Funkhouser III (Alicia); and his grandchildren, David IV, Jackson and Cayla.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to 43 North Iowa (formally NIVC), MercyOne North Iowa Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
