He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Baumgartner and Marie Baumgartner (Krejci); his former wives, Audrey J. Steinbach and Audrey Baumgartner; his grandson James D. Baumgartner; and his siblings, Ervin Baumgartner, Jr. and Betty Macal (Richard).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Baumgartner (Scarrow) of Mason City, IA; his children, Jodi Thoma (Jim) of Casper, WY and Jim Baumgartner (Sheila) of Austin, MN; his stepchildren, Monty Woodward (Sara), Robin McCann (Mike), Tim Woodward (Nanci) and Gloria Rish (Dennis Bailey); his grandchildren, Shawn Torres (Jaime), Zachary Kestner, Laci Baumgartner and Molly McCann (Lincoln Sanders); his great grandchildren, Ross Torres, Celeste Torres and Lexi Baumgartner; and his sister-in-law JoAnne Baumgartner.
Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church, Waltham.
