He was predeceased by: his parents, Cliff Peterson and Elsie Peterson; his wife Velva Peterson; his brother Calvin Peterson; and his son-in-law Chris Murray.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Murray and Brent Peterson (Donna); his grandsons, Chad Murray (Alisha) and Jon Murray (Erin); and his great grandchildren, Torri, Tia Carrigan and Delaney.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (119 S Georgia Ave, Mason City, IA 50401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery (1224 S Washington Ave, Mason City, IA 50401).
