She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ern Peery and Hazel Peery (Draper); her spouse Covell Phelps; her daughter Becky Brown of Marshalltown; her grandchildren, Cody Brown of Marshalltown and Sheena Bringa (Jay) of Montana; her great grandchildren, Madelyn, Harrison Brown, Hayden Sonderleiter and Bella Bringa; her close friend Kelly; her niece Julie Teatsworth; her nephew Warren Balvanz; and her siblings, Betty Balvanz (Francis) and Robert Peery.
