He is survived by: his daughter Judi Nixon (Joe) of Brentwood, TN; his grandchildren, Leah Nixon and Steve Nixon; his daughter Jana Rogers of Urbandale, IA; his grandchild Allison Vial; his children, Emily Lang and John Hunzelman (Darla) of Ankeny, IA; his grandsons, Jacob "JJ" (Magda) and Joseph; his son Joel Hunzelman (Amy) of Waverly, IA; and his grandchildren, Mollie and Beckett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Willows of Marshalltown, St. Croix Hospice, or Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marshalltown.
