With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Ploeger (Marshalltown, Iowa), born in Storm Lake, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 24, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Ploeger and Elizabeth Ploeger; his wife Carol Wiltse; his sisters, Margie Wycoff, Marlys Malcolm and Carol Jeanne Bradley; and his son-in-law Streetar Cameron.

He is survived by: his children, Christine Ploeger Cameron of Urbandale, IA and Jeffery Ploeger (Susan) of Burlington, IA; and his granddaughters, Meredith Glendening (Matt), Emily Matuska (Marc), Elizabeth Sheridan (Benjamin) and Jennifer Simpson (Allen). He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
