With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Flathers Sr. of Marshalltown, Iowa, who passed away on July 25, 2024 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester "Les" Flathers and Waunema "Dolly" Flathers (Beaderstadt); his former wife Barbara Flathers; his son Richard "Alan" Flathers Jr.; and his brothers, Bob Flathers and Don Flathers.
He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Stallwood; his daughter Amy Flathers (Ryan); his wife Yorie Flathers; his grandchildren, Mason Frost, Melody McGraw, Taylor Flaters, Skylar Flathers and Kaylee Flathers; and his siblings, Marsha White (Larry), Susan Schwend (Jeff), Jerry Flathers (Claudia), Nancy Dobson (Tom) and Ron Flathers (Shelly).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rich's name may be directed to a veteran organization of the donors choosing.
