He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Phipps and Mary Phipps (Schultz); his son McKenzie Ray; and his brother Gary Phipps. He is survived by: his sister Dianne Phipps of Grinnell; his nephews, Tyler Tuttle (Manda) of Ledbetter and Jason McGilvrey of Grinnell; his great-nephew Levi Tuttle; his uncle Richard Shaw of Garwin, IA; his aunts, Betty Schultz of Greenfield, IA and Carolyn Dayton of Grinnell; and his close friend Jennifer Anderson of Marshalltown.
