She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Burdeen Calkins and Glorine Paula DeVilbiss Calkins; and her brother Rodney Calkins of Marshalltown. She is survived by: her husband Gary Vanderley of Marshalltown; her children, Missy Vanderley of Ankeny, IA, Mindy Tullis (Matthew) of Marshalltown, IA and Marcus Vanderley (Ashley Palmer) of Des Moines, IA.; her sister Bonita Sharp of Lake View, IA; her grandchildren, Kelsey, Jenna, Adam, Jake, Ian, Austin and Brooke; and her great grandchildren, Hadley and Brinley.
Memorial contributions will be directed to the family for later designation. The family is asking for consideration of a live plant in lieu of flowers, then the plants will be offered to residents of the Iowa Veterans Home where Gary resides.
