He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Thompson and Esther Thompson (Knights); his sisters, Doris Knowles and Helen Doser; and his parents-in-law, Bill and Hilda Ahlemann.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ahlemann; his sons, Jeremy Thompson (Trudy) and Joel Thompson (Jill); his grandchildren, Abigail Thompson, Andrew Thompson, Anna Thompson, Paige Robertson (Drew), Kevin Thompson, Kendric Thompson and Cyrstin Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Josie and Barrett Robertson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Marshalltown Church of the Nazarene (1015 S Center St, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
