She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Sr. Stanley and Gladys Stanley; and her siblings, Elliott Stanley, Mildred Mayer and Dorcelle Trowbridge.
She is survived by: her husband John Hitchings; her family Marshalltown; her daughters, Leesa Terrillion (Kurt) of Altoona, IA, Rita Barnes (Troy) of Conrad, IA and Valerie Lucking (Tony); her grandchildren, Kayla, Stephanie, Jared and Travis; her great grandchildren, Lydia, Brinlyn and Jett; and her brother Ralph Stanley Jr..
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jane's name may be directed to her family for a later designation.
