She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Turbett and Doris Turbett (Gillespie); and her sister Sandra Testa. She is survived by: her children, Christopher DeJong (Heather Kreider) of Mesa and Jennifer Castle (Tim) of Gilman; her grandchildren, Keegan DeJong and Sophia DeJong; and her sister Dorothy "Dottie" Theophilus (Brad) of Marshalltown.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158).
