Marilyn Balmer Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 29, 2023, at the age of 87, Marilyn Balmer (Marshalltown, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Overstake and Martha Marie Overstake (Lieberum); her husband Russel Balmer; her children, Doug Balmer (Kathy) of Kellogg, DeAnn Vogt (Mark) of Ankeny and Dennis Balmer (late Cathy) of Green Mountain; her grandchildren, Lindsey Robinson (Kyer), Allie Sherman (Phillip), Karey Wilson (Aaron), Drew Balmer (Makenna), Curt Balmer, Tanya Pierson (Aaron), Kevin Balmer, Mike Sibinski (Michelle), Kelly Sorem (Dan) and Ryan Sibinski (Nicole); her daughter-in-law Cathy Balmer; her sister Doris Petrie; and her foster brother Bernard "Bud" Hancock. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
