It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Marian Gerdes of Marshalltown, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 79, on February 8, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lewis Broesder and Loretta Broesder (Walker); her husband Raymond Gerdes; her daughters, LaRae McGahuey (Troy) of Marshalltown and Shauna Banks of Marshalltown; her grandchildren, Natasha Banks (Jesus Paz), Kali Ratigan (David), Raelene McGahuey (Shannon Fleming) and Raechel McGahuey (Hunter Eygabroad); and her siblings, Laura Voight and Marvin Broesder.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church (312 W Main St, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marian's name may be directed to Iowa River Hospice or to the family for a later designation.
