She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hammond and Opal Hammond (Johnson); her son Timothy Kouba; her grandson Nathan Kouba; her great great grandchildren, Tanden Williams and Chloey Kline; her siblings, Melba Simmons, Lois Scott and James Hammond; and her son-in-law Jody "Perry" Choate.
She is survived by: her husband George Kouba; and her children, Kitty Choate of Le Grand, Patricia Kouba of Marshalltown, Daniel Kouba (Kathy) of Melbourne, Sally Randall (Scott) of Marshalltown and Jennifer Ramirez (Emil) of Plano, Texas.. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
