He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil O. Wallen and Virgia Wallen (Daniel); his son Gary Don Wallen; and his siblings, Rita Hawkins and Sydney Sheppard.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Mae Guynn; his children, Dave Wallen, Rich Wallen (Nancy) and Leona Wallen; his grandchildren, Sam, Nora, Stephanie, Lauren, Jess, Alison and Kaylah; and his great grandchildren, Tarissa, Gage, Bennett, Cason and Louis Justin.
