Larry Dean Good was born on July 27, 1940, at Newton to C.W. and Jennieve (Patterson) Good. He was the 7th of 8 children; his mother passed away in the early years of his life.
Larry was raised by Forest and Martha Halverson of Laurel, where he lived most of his school years. He attended elementary school and graduated from Laurel High School. During part of his high school years, he became a member of the Paul and Mary Determan family of Haverhill. Larry gained siblings, Gene, Pamela and Deborah.
Left to cherish his memory; his wife of 57 years, Sam Good of Marshalltown; daughters Christina Good of Marshalltown; Cassandra (Dennis) Schapker of Cincinnati, OH; 5 grandchildren: Christian and Nathan of Cincinnati, Erin of Amsterdam, and Brandon and Austin of Cincinnati.
Also surviving are Rose Marie Good, Ray Peterson, Gene (Ann) Determan, Pamela (Roger) Detrich, Deborah (Jack) Jennings. Shirley Sternola, Judy Lamb and Ken (Peggy) Lamb.
Because of help Larry received growing up, he had pride of being a role model, mentor and had abilities to give back to nieces, nephews, family members, employees, AAU ball teams, and relatives or teens that crossed the doorway and needed a place to live or help with their lives.
A special thanks to the love and care given by St Croix Hospice, Accura HealthCare and his special Willow Girls.
