With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jim Walsh of Marshalltown, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 24, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Walsh and Una Walsh (Grimm); his wife Linda Sue Appelgate; his father-in-law Dwight Appelgate (Shirley); his brother Steve Walsh; and his brother-in-law Denny Appelgate.
He is survived by: his son Ryan Walsh (Kelli); his grandchildren, Emily Paul, Jacob Paul (Brittany), Amy Paul, Ashley Thiessen (Kirby), Hayden Walsh and Dillon Walsh; his siblings, Rita Fry, Mary Jasa (Dick), Joe Walsh (Debbie), John Walsh (Diane), Kay Johnson (Terry) and Joyce Kowalski (Dennis); and his siblings-in-law, Tom Appelgate (Teresa) and Sharlene Appelgate. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
