She was predeceased by: her husband T. R. "Tommy" Thompson; her parents, Irvin Muckler and Mary Muckler (Ahrens); her daughter Jann Knight Ryerson; her daughter-in-law Nancy Thompson; her granddaughter Tahler Wildman; and her brother Lyle Muckler.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Thompson, Jill Bussan (Tony) and Lori (Tracy Wildman); her great grandchildren, Amy Schmidt (Dean), Andy, Tyler and Evie; her grandchildren, Kelly Knight, Emma, Anne of Katy, TX, Aaron Knight (Bridget), Callista, Finn, Miles, Vanessa Jhangiani (Nicky), Nina, Sean Thompson, Corey Thompson, Joe, Rachel Bussan, Danielle Wical (Brandon Street), Gwen, Finley, Megan Greenwood, Aubree, Grace, Lane and Rhett; and her sister Nancy Kunce. She is also survived by her children's, grandchildren's and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial fund is being established in lieu of flowers.
